Common Entrance Test
The Common Entrance Test (CET) is a competitive exam conducted for the purpose of admission of students to the first year or first semester of full-time courses in medical, dental and engineering courses in professional colleges the various states of India. The professional colleges in the state offering such courses are affiliated with the state run universities and admit students through the CET annually. The fee structure varies from year to year.

Overview
The Government of Karnataka established common Entrance Test Cell in the year 1994 for conducting of entrance test and determinig the eligibility/merit, for admission to the first year or first semester of full time professional courses for Government share of seats in Medical, Dental, Indian systems of medicine and Homeopathy, Engineering / Architecture Courses, Farm Science i.e, B.sc. (Agriculture), B.sc. (Sericulture), B.sc (Horticultue), B.sc(Forestry), B.sc. Agri Bio Tech, BHSc.(Home Science), B.Tech (Agri.Engg), B.Tech (Food Technology), B.Tech (Dairy Tech), B.FSc.(Fisheries), B.Tech (Food Science & Tech)., B.Sc. (Agri.Marketing & Co-Op), B-Pharma, Pharma-D Courses.
- Procedure : The 10th class exam is conducted at the state level by the state boards of education and at the national level by the Central Board of Secondary Education. Class 10 exam is conducted annually. 10th board exam syllabus may differ for students from different education boards.
- Schedule : In India, 10th board exam is usually conducted in March/April by most of the boards of education in India. An exam schedule is released by the boards at least one month before the exam. Class 10 board exam results are usually declared in May/June.March/April by most of the boards of education in India. An exam schedule is released by the boards at least one month before the exam. The Secondary School Certificate [SSC] or Matriculation examination is a public examination in India.
